In a 1960s apartment just outside Thessaloniki’s city center, everyday life is reimagined through a composition of light, clarity, and playful contrasts.

The open-plan living and kitchen area emerges from the unification of two small rooms, opening towards the balcony and the old neoclassical buildings of the neighborhood. Wooden flooring extends seamlessly throughout the apartment, except for the bathroom and laundry area, where tiles take over. In front of the kitchen, a “carpet” of tiles disrupts the continuity of the wood, subtly defining the functional zone.

White walls amplify the diffusion of natural light, while a blue-grey volume at the center of the linear apartment concentrates all auxiliary functions, organizing movement throughout the space. Soft grey tones dominate the textiles, punctuated by blue and yellow accents that add rhythm and vibrancy to the neutral base.

In the bedroom, the palette softens into warm beige tones, with discreet geometric patterns appearing on the headboard wall and the custom furniture, creating a serene, earthy retreat.

In the bathroom, small tiles in shades of white and blue evoke pixelated textures, lending a playful, contemporary surface. On the balcony, retro tiles and wooden details bring back the quiet, everyday atmosphere of a small urban courtyard.
