In the heart of Litochoro, at the foothills of Mount Olympus, a two-story residence from the previous century was carefully restored, honoring the architectural heritage of Macedonian tradition. The restoration aimed to transform the house into a contemporary dwelling that preserves the memory of its past owners while respecting the historical integrity of the place.

The original layout, typical of residences from that era, was maintained with subtle adaptations to meet modern needs for more spacious and open interiors. Upon entering, visitors encounter an impressive staircase adorned with decorative metal elements and the kitchen, which forms a focal point of the residence. From this central area, circulation extends both to the elevated level housing the living and dining areas and to the upper floor where the bedrooms are located. The traditional central hall and built-in seating have been preserved, maintaining the connection between the three bedrooms and the bathroom.

The vital courtyard space was retained and expanded into the former laundry area and its rooftop, offering diverse outdoor living experiences. The stone masonry of the building shell was revealed and restored, while all new additions—wooden frames, copper gutters, decorative ironwork, and mint-green details paired with whitewashed walls—reinforce the continuity of the local typology. Inside the residence, the original wooden floors, ceilings, aged tiles, polished concrete in the bathrooms, and preserved elements such as the marble fireplace and wooden cabinetry coexist harmoniously, weaving together a sense of historical continuity and contemporary living.
